In this month, all Mondays are dedicated to Lord Shiva. All Tuesdays are dedicated to Goddess Parvati. Keeping fasts on Tuesdays in known as Mangal Gauri Fast.

It is said that unmarried women who keep fasts on 16 Mondays are able to get a suitable husband for themselves and married ones for safety and protection of their households.

There are several devotees who step on to Kavad Yatra that is pilgrimage in order to bring holy water from Haridwar and then offering to Lord Shiva.

The season was Shravan and this is how the time became significant to worship Lord Shiva, the savior of human kind.

Let’s have a look on the zodiac signs and their certain method to worship Lord Shiva in this month –

Aries – The ruler of Aries sign is Mars who is worshipped in the form of Shivlinga only. Aries natives should offer curd and milk to the shivlinga. Offer dhatura and ghee lamp in front of the idol after worshipping.

Taurus – Visit Lord Shiva temple and give shivlinga, a bath of sugarcane juice. To make Lord Shiva happy, offer jasmine flower. Offer sweets and do Pooja.

Gemini – Gemini natives should worship shivlinga made up of crystal. Offer perfume of Saffron, sandalwood or kumkum to shivlinga.
